The Rome International Careers Festival is a networking and meeting opportunity between brilliant young minds, institutions, companies, NGOs, and international organizations, whose third edition will take place from the 24th to the 27th of March 2018 within the beautiful framework of the city of Rome.
RomeMUN is part of the International Careers Festival. The Festival is composed of four main projects from which participants can choose the one most suited to their academic background, professional aspirations or general interest: RomeMUN, Rome Press Game, Rome Business game and International Careers Course.
The Rome Model United Nations has reached its 9th edition with the patronage and support of major international institutions. 2000 delegates from around the world, prestigious guests, and an innovative approach to foster greater involvement and debate from the youth on current international issues is what will make this RomeMUN one to remember.
The RomeMUN is a project which uses the "learn by doing" approach which means our participants acquire various practical skills such as public speaking (because of how many speeches they have to make), capacity to draft official international documents (position papers and UN resolutions), team building as they work in groups to find solutions and create resolutions, leadership abilities as they lead blocs of nations who share a common stance, research skills (research done before and during the simulation), adapting and working in a multicultural environment given that there are participants from over 100 countries in the world.
The focus of 2018 RomeMUN edition will be on SDG (Sustainable development goals).
The main tasks of Chairs/Directors will be:
- Drafting the study guides about the committee, the main topic and its subtopics
- Participating in three online sessions in February/March 2018 to get in touch and solve doubts from delegates.
- Chairing committee sessions during the conference in Rome (24th-28th March 2018).

The first selection will be based on received applications. Selected candidates will be contacted by July 7 to arrange a Skype call with the goal to get to know better the candidate, his or her motivations and experience.
To final selected candidates accommodation expenses in Rome during the Festival will be refunded and there will be a partial refund of the airplane ticket cost.
