Rome Press Game
Rome Press Game: It’s your turn to play!
24 ottobre 2016

The only simulation in the world totally focused on Journalism

After the great success of the first edition, the Rome Press Game, one of the four projects of the International Careers Festival, is back. It allows participants to take part in a truly multicultural environment and interact with students from over 100 different countries. It is a great opportunity for all high school students, university students and/or graduated students in communication, literature, media, international relations and journalism. All participants will have the chance to prove themselves and become a reporter for few days from the 11th to 14th of March 2017 during the International Careers Festival. Registrations are open until the 16th December 2016 on our website

Participants of the Press Game will have the chance to attend the event as a journalist or as a translator. The journalist team will deal with three types of journalism: radio, tv and web. Participants will write press releases and report the day-to-day activities of the conferences and debates which will ignite the Festival; moreover, they will create talk shows and tv-news and interview delegates and businessmen of this edition as well as officials and ambassadors of the event. Translators and interpreters will help journalists to improve internal communication, releases and radio broadcasting, both by translating documents and in editing videos in different languages. Furthermore, they will deal with simultaneous interpretation in English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic and Chinese.

Thanks to the work of both journalists and translators, experts in communication on one side and experts in languages on the other, the Rome Press Game will operate according to the new international approach adopted by big networks such as BBC, CNN, Al-Jazeera which broadcast in different languages to reach a variety of audiences and different socio-cultural and economic realities.

During the Festival all Participants will be supported by journalists, translators and a technical team which will include cameramen and video editors in order to acquire specific and practical skills to cope with the multifaceted world of journalism (press office, online newspapers, radio and tv). Participants will have the opportunity to get an overall view of the world of journalism by a practice-oriented approach, the introduction of some theoretical and practical knowledge, workshops which will be made available during the Festival and the essential technical support from our experts.

The Rome Press Game is sponsored by the Ordine dei Giornalisti (Association of Journalists) and will host important special guests such as Lucia Annunziata and Giorgio Zanchini, who were part of the great success of the first edition
. The simulation will have a practical application, our best participants will have the chance to visit and possibly work in some important editorial offices and  also have their works published in international newspapers. Visit our Youtube channel and discover the videos produced during the previous editions.

The Rome Press Game is part of the International Careers Festival which will take place in Rome from the 11th to 14th March 2017, the first event conceived by Giovani nel Mondo Association (GnM) entirely dedicated to Youth, Employment and Internationalization.
