Dear future RBG participants,
Welcome to Rome Business Game 2020.
It is with great honour that as Director of this fifth edition, I welcome you to the 2.0 evolution of our global, leading academic experience, specifically designed for students and graduates in the economic and business field.
Rome Business Game originated from the family of RomeMUN, one of the biggest and most prestigious MUN simulations in Europe. Since its foundation in 2010, the competition greeted thousands of students from 61 countries to the "Eternal City" of Rome.
We decided to create Rome Business Game in light of the critical turning point experienced from an economic perspective by our society that marked the aftermath of 2008. Back then, companies had to review their strategies, to think out of the box, yet not all of them survived this phase. Many still struggle. A few succeeded in unprecedented ways.
Such uncertain times call for a dynamic generation of talented, ingenious managers and business professionals. Hence, we strive to empower business and economics students with the opportunity to face real-life managerial cases, presented by world-class companies in a realistic business environment.
For its 2020 edition, we redesigned Rome Business Game from the ground up. A completely reinvented and improved simulation model - five business divisions, one global and five specific objectives, a mentoring program, and a more interactive, cross-functional structure.
Never so challenging. Never so engaging. Our best RBG ever.
We are more confident than ever, Rome Business Game will be an experience to be remembered for a lifetime. A unique occasion not only to broaden your academic and professional horizons but also for a profound personal enrichment. Meet new friends, practice your English, improve your soft skills.
Being a good manager, indeed, does not simply revolve around possessing technical and theoretical capabilities; it requires an outstanding mastery of transversal abilities as well: business awareness, emotional intelligence, teamwork, critical thinking, and negotiation, among a few.
Being a leader, rather than remaining a boss.
We look forward to meeting all of you. A diverse, dynamic audience of future professionals, managers, and leaders, all driven by the common will to be challenged, to collaborate, to share your knowledge and to compete fairly.
Will you take up our challenge?
Let the games begin.
